November 2011 Update  

Dear Friends,

Thank you for your continued prayers for our family and ministry. God is doing some amazing things among Brazil ’s Indians and we are just so thankful that He allows us to join Him.

Alec’s time in Brazil was truly blessed. The Bible Translation Overview Course for the Calon (Brazilian Gypsies) went very well. There were nine participants, including both Calon and Brazilian missionaries who work with them.  They were all very enthusiastic learners! As a result of the course, they have formed a translation team and created a plan. We covet your continued prayers for this new Bible translation effort in Brazil.

After a week with the Calon, Alec flew back to our old stomping grounds, Cuiaba , and spent a week with Eliabe and Sofia revising the OT books of Ruth, 1 Samuel and several chapters of 2 Samuel.  We have added two new team members to the Xavante OT translation team (as revisers) – Pastors Dorival and Luis. Their corrections and insights were very beneficial in perfecting these books.

After another week in Costa Rica for meetings, Alec has returned home to the infirmary. Please continue to pray for Jessica and me in regards to health. We really need wisdom and a healing touch from the Great Physician.
