(UPDATE ON AL GRAHAM) - 2/10

Dear Friends,

Thank you so much for your faithful prayers throughout my dad’s painful trial. It is certainly not over yet, but we praise God that the surgery went well and the doctors were able to get the grapefruit size tumor out and reconstruct his face using muscles from his chest and a nerve from his leg. His ear, both inner and outer, was removed. He is in the ICU where he will likely remain for two or three more days. The tumor was up against his brain stem, so there is the possibility of penetration.  The doctors feel that chemotherapy and radiation will eradicate any residual cancer cells.  

Praise with us:

That dad’s heart held up well through the 9 hour surgery

For a good medical team

That all my brothers and sisters and their spouses can be with mom and dad at this time

Please pray:

For a quick and uncomplicated healing and recovery for my dad

For his emotional recovery from this trauma and a good adjustment to his new look

That any and all cancerous tissue that might be left in my dad would be eradicated through treatment

For health and strength for my mom who has been caring for my dad throughout this whole process
