Jim Smith
Jim came to SAHCC in June 2014. He has lived in Ohio, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, and finally California, WHEW! He was a Bible Theology major at Moody Bible Institute, received a B.A. in Psychology from Trinity College, and his M.Div, and D.Min from International Seminary. Jim and his wife Vicki have been married since 1978, and have four married children and 11 grandkids. Jim has previously served as a youth pastor in Wisconsin and Michigan and as senior pastor in Apple Valley as well as here at the Heights. He also currently serves as the President of Pacific Church Network, which he has led since 2006. He loves all sports (playing and watching), but still claims that he is a below-average golfer, and just goes to make others feel better. Some of his other favorite things are; The Amazing Race TV show, The Chronicles of Narnia, Armageddon (the movie, not the upcoming event), and playing practical jokes on people. Interesting fact: he once fainted while preaching (he had pneumonia).
Nick Greenwood
Nick officially joined our staff as our Discipleship Pastor in January of 2023. He serves as pastor to the youth and oversees the leaders of our children’s ministry, small groups, and assimilation teams. Nick and his wife Emily have four children and have been in ministry for many years. Nick served as youth pastor at Cornerstone Community Church and Talega Life Church, both in San Clemente, Ca. He was also the Associate Pastor of music and mission at Bear Valley Church in Big Bear Lake, Ca, as well as the founder of RYFO, a music industry chaplaincy ministry. In addition to his role at the church, he works with Novo—a worldwide mission agency—as their ACTIVATE(D) Team Leader. Nick is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL.
Emily Greenwood
Emily became our worship leader in June 2019. She and her husband Nick have been involved in ministry for the past 18 years in many different capacities. They have four children. Emily attended Biola University and then transferred to Moody Bible Institute in Chicago where graduated with a Bible Theology Degree. She was born in Wisconsin, lived in Michigan, and then moved to California. She is a talented musician and singer, with several recordings online. Emily loves going up to the mountains whenever she can.

Megan Martin
Megan has been involved in our church as a singer in the praise band, children's ministries coordinator (Kidz Kount) and in November of 2022 she became our church Administrative Assistant/bookkeeper. She and her husband, Eric, have 2 children. Megan studied at California Baptist University and has a degree in accounting. She enjoys singing, plays the guitar and loves spending time with children.
